Dear Members,
Now that the Covid 19 public health restrictions are lifting and there is an aspiration that come October 22nd “ personal responsibility” will guide much of our interactions, we are delighted to announce the lifting of the following restrictions in Killiney Golf Club.
With immediate effect the following is now in place:
1. The terminals beside the locker rooms can be used to sign in and insert scores. Please note that card restrictions will remain in place whereby members agree who their marker is, sign their own card and mark the name of the marker in the marker place.
2. The locker rooms can be used but only by 6 members at a time. The shower facility will remain closed till further notice.
3. Member and non-member social and golf events can take place with numbers limited in line with the current public health guidelines. Live music is allowed at these events.
4. Face to face committee meetings can take place using the Aislin room and other facilities within the club.
Please note all the above can only take place subject to the standard covid restrictions as follows:
o All visitors and members must be double vaccinated
o All visitors and members must wear masks while indoors
o All visitors and members must adhere to the social distancing rules still in place.
As requested by the captains, the restriction on not lifting flags will remain in place but as a mechanism to enhance the pace of play rather than as a covid constraint.
We are delighted to see the club getting closer to being “fully” open for business. The last two years have been challenging for members and staff alike and we would like to sincerely thank everyone for their continued patience and support.
With kind regards,
The Covid Committee
