Club Finals Day - This Sunday 22nd September
This Sunday is an exciting day in the Killiney Golf calendar with the conclusion of our single, fourball and foursome competitions in the Killiney Golf Club Finals Day. The Prize Presentation will take place at 6.30pm and we would be delighted if all members could join us for drinks and canapes as we salute our champions. We wish all our golfers the best of luck in their final matches and congratulation them in reaching the Killiney Finals Day.
Kind Regards,
Captains Gary & Lelia
The timesheet for the day is as follows:
Membership
With the application process for the 2025 in-take of new members opening on the 1st October 2024 (closing November 1st), the Membership Committee would like to remind Ordinary Members of the offer available as per the Strategic Plan 2022-2026.
In response to the objective of producing a fully-costed family membership package that meets our aims and objectives, the strategic plan introduced that:
An ordinary member with a child or grandchild aged 30-40 (even if they were not a previous member) can join and receive a 50% discount off the joining fee. The standard annual sub is applicable; however, the joining fee can be paid over 5 years.
We would encourage our members to avail of this attractive offer, which is limited to 10 individuals annually, and support our tradition of being a family friendly and family-oriented club. Please see the membership section of the website for further details.
Kind Regards,
The Membership Committee

Reliving the good ole days!
I think we can all agree that last Saturday night truly was a step back into the good ole days! The abundance of talent within KGC was simply incredible to witness. From start to finish, we were entertained, enthralled, and left in awe. Our incomparable MC, the one and only Ivan Cruise, kicked off the evening in style with a wonderful rendition of Perry Como's classic – “And I Love you so”, sang so well, that the late Joe Nagle would have been impressed.
Following that, we were treated to a delightful mix of performances from some brave and talented ladies and gentlemen who graced the stage with songs, poems, recitals, and even commentary from the 1983 Cheltenham Gold Cup! That will certainly come in handy when we host our first Race Night next year!
A huge thank you to everyone who shared their talents with us, you truly made the evening unforgettable. We have captured videos of most of the performances, which we will be saving on a memory stick and storing at the club, like a little time capsule of the night.
Special thanks go to everyone involved, especially John, our Bar Manager, for coming up with the brilliant idea. A big shoutout to all the bar staff, especially Luke and David, who not only kept the drinks flowing but gave us remarkable performances! Chef Alan and his team, the food was simply delicious, and to Alex and the wait staff, you pulled out all the stops.

White
Niki Tiki – New Zealand
A wonderful crisp and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc, showing true and traditional citrus notes on the nose. Fresh lemon/lime and tropical fruit flavours on the palate. Crisp acidy and herbal notes, fruity, elegant and lively.
Prova Régia 2022 – Portugal
A clear citrine colour with greenish tints, this wine has a fresh aroma with notes of citrus and white fruit. Appetising on the palate with freshness and structure, it has further notes of citrus fruit that invite a delicious and persistent finish.
Red
Pegos Claros Grand Reserva 2022 – Portugal
Aroma of red fruits, blackberries and black plums is enhanced by notes of light vanilla and elegant toast notes from the barrel where it aged, all well integrated into a high-quality tasting. Ruby in colour and in the mouth, it is rich and elegant with soft tannins that persist for a long time.
Segredos de Sao Miguel Tinto 2022 – Portugal
Fruity and Fresh with good acidity and polished tannins. Ruby with violet reflections in colour and an aroma of ripe red fruit, flowers and spices.
