The good new continues for Killiney Ladies! After a superb win for Hilary Murray's Intermediate team on Sunday it was time for the Boyne Trophy team to step up - and by God they did!

Up against it 3 pairings away in Newlands and 2 at home, it was always going to be a struggle. We got off to a great start at home with Cathy & Tina having a comprehensive win on the 14th. Unfortunately,we struggled on the greens in NewlandswithMel and Rosie and Joan & Claire fighting hard but losing on 14th.

It wasn't looking good for Killiney with Cathryn & Mieke 2 down playing 16 in Killiney and Emer and Elaine 2 down playing 15 in Newlands. It was nail biting but Cathryn and Mieke reeled them in and won the 18th to carry on, eventually winning on the 20th.

All down to Elaine and Emer - how could we have doubted them?? Winning 15, 16 & 17 they headed up 18th 1 up and closed it out! Incredible golf under pressure, so proud of the team and waiting for the next round v Howth.

Thanks to all the support we got on the day - it makes a difference. Special thanks to super subs Marianne and Orla and Anne Kilty and asst managers Orla and Aisling.

Special mention to our lucky mascot Anne Dawson, who made it to Newlands on the 15th to swing match for Elaine and Emer.
