Hi all, we're finally coming out of this terrible winter and the golf season is fast approaching!! I am delighted to announce a new programme running this summer!
I will be running an Order of Merit (League) open to all Junior members, starting 1st June. All entrants will be split into 4 groups.
I will calculate points and update the scores weekly to the Juniors tab on the website!
Points will be allocated as per the below system:
- 5pts per hour you spend practicing (check in and out of the Pro Shop).
- 5pts per Wednesday Competition you play in (you must enter your card, No Returns don't count!!)
- Wednesday Competition Performance; 10pts to Overall Winner, 9pts to Overall 2nd and 8pts to Overall 3rd.
- 7pts to 1st in Class, 6pts to 2nd in Class and 5pts to 3rd in class.
- Points per shot reduction of your Handicap (5pts for catagory 1, 4Pts for catagory 2 .... 1pts for catagory 5).
- 10pts per lesson you attend (Individual or Group).
The top 6 points scorers from each group will qualify to represent their group in the 'Killiney Ryder Cup'.
Groups will face off in the semi finals in Killiney. The 2 winning groups progress to the final on Friday 24th August, played at Druids Glen Golf Resort!! Druids Glen has been labelled as 'The Augusta of Europe' and hosted the Irish Open 4 times in 1996. 1997 , 1998 and 1999! The final will be followed by food and the prize presentation.
The cost to enter this summer long event is only €15! This is to be paid upon enrollment.
