In spite of a shaky forecast, glorious sunshine greeted our Super Tuesday golfers. The course was very well presented with good firm fairways and fast greens, so high scores were anticipated.

74 played in the 4-ball format, and we were delighted to welcome 16 guests, from the usual variety of clubs, including The Heath, Powerscourt, Royal Dublin, Sutton, Delgany, Dun Laoghaire, Carrickmines and Alloa.

We had 2 special prizes, best last 3 holes, and nearest the pin in 2 shots on the formidable 9th. The nearest pin prize went to our Honorary member Leonard Owens, whose 2nd landed just 47 inches from the pin...some shooting with a very difficult pin position.
