The 2018/2019 Snooker season ended as the summer begins but the knock-out Singles competition tends to stretch a little further into the calendar.
This year it was our largest number of entries for many years with 48 competitors.
There was were many battles and close calls but 46 matches later we had but two players left for the final.
Ivan Cruise (winner in 2007) and Barry MacManus (Runner-up in 2004) played a keenly fought ‘best of three’ contest.
Ivan won the first frame to go 1-0 up but Barry held his nerve and won the next two frames taking the title and the trophy – will have his name forever in gold.
The Referee for the evening was George O’Connell. George has previously held the trophy in both 1999 and 2012.
Thanks to everyone for their support.
