I am pleased to announce that Michael Browne is to take up the position of Course Superintendent with immediate effect. John Hanley has decided, for personal reasons, to step down from the position and will continue to be a valued member of course staff in the role of Assistant Head Greenkeeper.
Michael Browne joined Killiney Golf Club in 2007 having previously worked as Deputy Course Manager in the Grange Golf Club. Michael is a graduate of the College of Horticulture Glasnevin qualifying with a N.C.V.A. Certificate in Green keeping in 1996. Michael has continued his professional development and holds a HNC from Elmwood College (Scotland) in Course Management, one of only four to graduate with Distinction. Michael is currently halfway through a three year HND in Course Management also in Elmwood College. Michael is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Ireland.
On behalf of Killiney Golf Club I wish to congratulate Michael on his promotion to Course Superintendent and wish him all the best in his new role.
